ITServe Alliance’s Contributions to STEM Education
Empower Future Generations

“Since its inception in 2010, a major objective of ITServe Alliance has been to contribute towards empowering local communities through a wide range of initiatives,” said Anju Valbhaneni, President of ITServe and CSR – Board of Director. “We believe in the transformative power of education, especially in rural communities across the United States. Towards this end, ITServe is proud to invest in STEM scholarships, STEM training, and STEM internships, which enable our youth to reach their full potential and contribute to a thriving society.”

The numerous noble initiatives of ITServe are planned, initiated, and organized through the ITServe Alliance Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). ITServe, the organization of multi-talented individuals, sets targets every year for awarding STEM scholarships and other initiatives, thus providing life-changing opportunities to deserving individuals and empowering and helping educate a diverse group of individuals from across the nation.

Since ITServe’s inception in 2010, the CSR team has embarked on a remarkable journey in the realm of CSR. Starting with small steps, it has made a significant impact on the local communities.

According to Tanuj Gundlapalli, Managing Director of CSR, “The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the ITServe Alliance has contributed nearly 2 Million Dollars in STEM activities and various welfare programs across the United States.”

ITServe recognizes the impact of STEM scholarships, STEM training, and STEM internships in providing opportunities for youth to develop skills and contribute to society. There is currently a shortage of skilled labor, and local talent is sometimes unavailable. ITServe’s initiatives aim to help address this gap and support the advancement of technology and software development in the United States. ITServe has set a goal to award 100 STEM scholarships annually, aiming to create educational opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds across the country.

“ITServe offers as many as 100 scholarships annually to needy students in the communities they live and serve. Each student chosen for the scholarship is given $5,000 towards their educational needs. Through the partnership with our local Chapters, focusing on community colleges, ITServe has given away dozens of scholarships in 2025 alone,” Gundlapalli added.

CSR has a broad range of initiatives aimed at creating a positive impact in various areas. CSR team works to establish partnerships with educational institutions, organizations, and industry experts to provide training opportunities that enhance STEM skills and knowledge. This equips individuals with the tools they need to excel in STEM careers and contributes to building a robust talent pipeline.

“ITServe Alliance members are passionate about the well-being of society just as they have been about their businesses,” said Dinesh Movva, CSR – Secretary. “The mission of ITServe Alliance CSR is to empower local communities through STEM education, advocacy, and training. Other areas that CSR is focused on include educating the underprivileged, feeding the hungry, supporting our veterans and first responders and recognizing our community heroes.”

In order to achieve these lofty goals, ITServe has assembled an exceptional team of committed and talented national leaders to make its mission a success. “To have a meaningful impact, 2024 CSR team includes 18 dynamic leaders who really care for society. The roles have been distributed based on the major activities that ITServe Alliance CSR undertook this year,” Movva added.

In addition to the national Chairs, ITServe boasts of 24 chapters, each led by a dedicated chapter president, who serves as a pillar, championing the ITServe vision alongside the CSR objectives. The national/chapter-level CSR chairs play a critical role in identifying and partnering with qualified non-profit organizations that align with CSR objectives.

ITServe’s CSR Board Directors are Anju Vallabhaneni, Vinod Babu Uppu, Hitesh Vadlamudi, and Kalyan Vijai Lakimsetty. In addition to Tanuj Gundlapalli, who is the Managing Director for CSR, Dinesh Babu Movva serves as the CSR Secretary. Raghu Chittimalla, Governing Board Chair of ITServe, said, “We are committed to empowering local communities through STEM advocacy, educating the underprivileged, and thus making an impact on humanity. By advocating for these educational opportunities, we aim to bridge the gap and provide equal access to quality education.”

Elaborating on the unique importance of such a noble and much-needed initiative by ITServe, Siva Moopanar, President-Elect of ITServe Alliance, said, “STEM education is something where there is much scope in the United States, especially for the availability of IT jobs and IT skills. There is a shortage nationwide, and local talent is in short supply. We have been working to address the existing shortage, as it will impact progress in technology and software development. Therefore, we are focusing on building the local population and promoting STEM education in the US.”

Vinod Babu Uppu, while thanking the CSR team and ITServe members, said, “The generous donations, resources, and the time devoted by our leadership and member organizations helps ITServe in the success of our programs. Our partners play a vital role in helping us broaden our reach and positively impact the lives of the less fortunate in our communities by helping us broaden our reach through the many CSR initiatives.”

ITServe has cultivated strong partnerships with over 50 prestigious universities and community colleges, forming a robust network to help achieve STEM goals. At the local level, each of the 24 ITServe Chapters is actively engaged with community non-profit organizations, forming vital partnerships to drive ITSeve’s mission and objectives forward.

Some notable institutions that are part of the collaborative network include Arizona State University, Bronx Community College Foundation, Bucks County Community College, Georgia State University, Illinois State University, Oklahoma State University, University of North Carolina, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Virginia, and St. Charles Community College, among others.

Dinesh Movva said, “By leveraging our collective efforts, we make a meaningful impact on local communities and societal well-being with the objective of making a positive and lasting difference in the areas that matter most to us.”
